Firstly, let check a proverb that was quoted by Frank Vogel "Be thirstly to always try to achieve something more". Frank Vogel is telling you here to always strive in order to achieve more.You need to be striving to have more than what you heard bofore. Biblically, you will see where being thirsty is actually talked about. Revelation 22 vs17 says "The spirit and the bride say come! And let him who hears say,come whoever is thirsty,let him come;and whoever wishes,let him take the free gift of the water of life",So whenever you are thirsty you are to seek the face of God to ask him whatever we want. The scripture says "Ask and it will be given to you,seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened"Matthew 7:7. You need to be asking anything you want from God,because He is a God who answer prayer.

      There was an illustration of a maid who work at is master house. His master as being good to him all the time, giving him even when he didn't ask.So on a faithful day,the maid was troubled about an issue he was facing in which he needed money for the challenge. This maid was timid to ask his master for help.Later on he went ahead to meet his boss in the sitting room to tell him is mind whether he will give him or not,so when he got there he asked his master for financial help and his master thought of it and then he said he will give him more than what he asked of. The maid was very happy and excited and was very greatful. That also the replica of what God want us to be doing . He said in his word that "But eagerly desire the greater gift". 1 Corinthians 12 vs 30,so you need to seek him earnestly with passion in order to thirst for him. To Grow in God you need to have passion or Zeal for him (God),and do not be relevant of wanting to know him more. You are suppose to be striving to know him more and more than ever before because it is the more you know him,that you will have intimacy with him.You need to be malgamating for the things of God in order to do what pleases him. Doing what pleases God is brought about when you hunger for God in order to have him in you.You need to do something to be thirsty for God.
