Are you thirsty ?

       ARE YOU THIRSTY ? 3.

Good evening everyone. How has our week being?.The love of Christ shall continue to radiate on us.

These are also some benefit for being thirsty for God. The Bible said "whatever you know worth doing well, do it with all your strength".You need to be thirsty for God so as to see the benefit. The benefit of being thirsty for God is as follow.

1.You will be His child :

       There is one statement there that needed to be taken note of which is Child, which is simply defined as "a young human being below the age of puberty or below the legal age of majority". This means a child is still a young human being that is depending on his /her Father. You need to be a child to your father which is God in which you are is since you have accepted His son [Jesus Christ] into your life to take control of you. 

 

2.Listen to your cry :

        The Bible said it in psalm 67:18 that "If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened". What this Bible text is trying to tell us is to cry unto God whenever you need something and He will answer you since you are longing for Him. When a father ears His son or daughter crying, He will harken to their voice and ask what the reason for the soberness then he will give solution to it. So also related to God, He will know you want Him in this area of your life and when you have a challenges He will take care of you.

  3.You will hear His voice :

         Hearing God's voice is one of the benefit of being thirsty for God . It is when you thirst for God that is when you will have intimacy with Him and He will begin to speak in dimension which is not of this physical realm. You will have a discerning heart which will help you to distinguish whether is God speaking to you or the other way round. Discerning heart is needed to distinguish. When you hear His voice, He will begin to use you as a vessel which will bring forth His glory.

 4. You will be a witness :

        The scripture says "But you will receive power when the Holy spirit comes upon you; and you will be my witness in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth". This is actually the advantage of being thirsty for God. When you thirst for God you will be able to be His witness who shares His good ness around the world . You needed to be a witness of the Light just like the case of John. John was a witness to the Light because he prepared the way for the Lord.
